NDT Inspector (m/f/d)

Mission Brief
As an NDT Inspector at Isar Aerospace, you can contribute to the success of the product. You will have a varied and exciting range of topics in both series-accompanying inspections and development and special projects. Through cross-departmental work with colleagues from manufacturing and design, you will quickly become integrated into the processes and topics of an NDT Inspector and start a varied and exciting career at Isar Aerospace.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Inspection preparation (reading drawings, selecting appropriate standards, calibrating test equipment, etc.)
• Execution of non-destructive material testing on metallic and non-metallic materials (CFRP, adhesive bonds, welds, additively manufactured parts) according to applicable standards or specifications
• Evaluation of test results according to applicable standards or specifications
• Traceable documentation of test results from non-destructive testing

Further areas of activity include:

• Interpretation and communication of detected defects
• Continuous personal further training and certification on NDT test equipment and new methods (e.g., IRT)
• Test planning, execution, and documentation for initial and special parts
• Responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of the NDT areas (documentation of non-conformities, monitoring of existing inspection equipment, and organization of the storage of inspection equipment)

Qualification Checklist

• Successfully completed vocational training in material testing or comparable training according to requirements or similar activity in a plastics or metal processing field
• Initial professional experience in Non-Destructive Testing or entry-level with above-average previous performance
• Testing and evaluation capabilities at the parts and material level
• Qualification and certification of UT Level 2 and/or PT Level 2 according to EN 4179 or DIN EN ISO 9712 desirable
• Very high quality awareness
• Resilience, flexibility, and teamwork skills
• High motivation to take on complex challenges
• Occasional willingness to travel
• Fluent German language skills, English language skills B2 level
