NDC & Climate Coordination Facilitator

A global project management organization is seeking an In-Country Facilitator to support South Africa's Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment in implementing the NDC and associated national legislation. This role involves coordinating the development and implementation of NDC investment plans, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and mobilizing resources for effective execution. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in climate policy, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities will include: • Coordinating with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities to develop and implement NDC investment plans; • Facilitating regular meetings and workshops among stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination; • Mobilizing resources (financial, technical, and human) for the implementation of NDC investment plans; • Providing technical assistance and capacity building support to stakeholders as needed; • Monitoring and reporting on progress towards achieving NDC goals and targets. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and project management skills, and experience in climate policy and stakeholder engagement.
