Your Tasks

• Definition of target and transition architectures for the OT/IT ecosystem

• Creation of concepts and high-level solution concepts based on requirements and strategic guidelines

• Ensuring the reuse of components and solutions within the architecture landscape

• Creation and establishment of architecture artifacts and documentation

• Ensuring cooperation with project and program planning

• Establishing and building architecture governance in the responsibility area

• Participation in tendering and evaluation processes to ensure architecture and IT requirements

• Transferring architectural decisions to all relevant stakeholders

• Collaboration with domain-, solution- and enterprise architects, as well as project teams

• Introduction of architecture standards and best practices

• Reviewing functional and architectural artifacts on program and project level

• Identifying and evaluating opportunities and risks regarding technologies, architectures, and third-party components

• Participation in the selection of products and solutions

• Observing market trends, new technologies, and supplier roadmaps

• Contributing to the further development of enterprise architecture standards, principles, and modeling frameworks

• Creation and submission of documentation using the tools provided by the program

Must Requirements

• Classification as a manager with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in an architectural role

• Comprehensive and long-standing experience in the area of critical infrastructure (KRITIS), ideally in system management for an electrical supply network

• Completed studies in computer science, engineering, energy, or a comparable qualification

• Knowledge of the technical requirements of a transmission system operator (TSO) for future system management and their impact on IT infrastructure and software architectures

• Experience in the complete architecture lifecycle from design to implementation to productive operation

• Experience in designing and operating cloud-native software on OT/IT real-time platforms

• Experience in designing interfaces and processes for accessing data and APIs of network management devices for a transmission system operator

• Experience in implementing company-specific information security requirements and security gates

• Experience in applying architecture standards, introducing architecture governance, and creating architecture artifacts and documentation

• Experience in modeling applications and their architectures

• Knowledge of strategic IT planning, iterative and classical software development processes, and various deployment approaches

• German language skills at a native speaker level as well as conversational English in writing and speaking

• Willingness to undergo security clearance (SÜG) and corresponding pre-screening

• At least one reference for a project in the DACH region

• At least one reference with regard to individual software development and system integration in the energy sector or in the context of critical infrastructure

Can Requirements

• Experience with systems or activities at specialized software developers for system management software like PSI, DIgSILENT, or Siemens
