About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to carry out a wide range of mechanical tasks including diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of various makes and models of vehicles. You’ll work in a well-equipped workshop with a friendly and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use advanced diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues in various types of vehicles. Accurately interpret fault codes and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Scheduled Maintenance & Logbook Servicing: Perform regular maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks in accordance with manufacturer guidelines to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant.
• Mechanical Repairs: Conduct comprehensive mechanical repairs such as brake system overhauls, clutch replacements, suspension tuning, and steering alignments. Repair and replace worn or damaged vehicle components to manufacturer standards.
• Engine and Transmission Work: Service and repair engine components, cooling systems, and manual or automatic transmissions. Conduct performance tuning and ensure efficient engine operation.
• Customer Communication & Job Reporting: Communicate clearly with customers (where applicable) or workshop manager regarding identified issues, repair options, and timeframes. Maintain accurate job cards and service records for each vehicle.
• Workplace Health & Safety (WHS): Follow workshop safety protocols, wear PPE, and ensure all workstations are clean and hazard-free. Comply with industry standards and ensure all work is carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

About You

• Minimum of 1 years of relevant hands-on experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A current driver’s licence
