Motor Mechanic

At Yorketown Tyre and Auto, we are looking for a skilled, qualified enthusiastic and self-motivated Motor Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience to diagnose and repair all models of passenger vehicles and who specialize in express service.

You must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. You must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow safety precautions.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect Machines, Engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery equipment and systems
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle users
• Work with departmental and interdepartmental staff in a pleasant and constructive manner
• Source and order spare parts and maintain appropriate records as required to ensure smooth work flow of scheduled servicing and maintenance
• Ensure and promote a safe work culture

Requirements

• Proven experience as motor mechanic
• Relevant trade qualifications
• Experience with problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Have the ability to work independently and unsupervised, within established guidelines and parameters
