Motor Mechanic

AZ TEK AUTO Electrical is seeking two qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics to join our growing automotive repair business. This full-time position is ideal for motivated professionals who take pride in high-quality workmanship and accurate diagnostics.

Motor Mechanic – Full Time (2 Positions Available)

You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and testing motor vehicles and other internal combustion engines, including associated mechanical and electrical components.

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and components
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components
• Inspecting parts for wear or damage and checking components against service manuals
• Repairing and replacing worn or defective parts and reassembling mechanical components
• Performing scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
• Ensuring vehicles comply with pollution control and safety regulations
• Reassembling engines and components after repair
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts to ensure correct performance
• Diagnosing and testing components using computer-based diagnostic equipment
• Inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates or detailing work required to achieve roadworthiness (where applicable)
• Responding to vehicle breakdown service calls as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• AQF Certificate III OR
• AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
• Proven experience working as a motor mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
