Motor Mechanic – Full Time/ Permanent

The Motor Mechanic role exists to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of customer vehicles through professional servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. This position is critical to maintaining business continuity, meeting customer expectations, and upholding compliance with national automotive standards.

• Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on passenger and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate tools, equipment, and technical manuals.
• Perform complex repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and Australian automotive regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and compliance documentation.
• Test vehicles after repair to confirm roadworthiness and performance.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices or junior staff in the workshop.
• Uphold workplace health and safety requirements, including proper use of tools and protective equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and service outcomes.
• Contribute to workshop efficiency by managing time, resources, and prioritising tasks effectively.

● Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised qualification).

● Minimum 2-3 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.

● Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and steering systems.

● Valid Australian driver’s licence.

● Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
