Motor Mechanic

As a Motor Mechanic you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles (light and heavy) to ensure they are safe, reliable, and performing at their best.

Your key duties will include:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Performing routine maintenance services and repairs on vehicles
• Overhauling engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
• Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting on issues found
• Ensuring all repair and maintenance work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Communicating clearly with the service advisor/reception team about job progress and required parts

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified, detail-oriented mechanic with a passion for delivering excellent work and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• Qualified Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate
• 5 years of post-qualification experience in a workshop environment
• Valid driver’s licence (Code 8 or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Multilingual ability (English, Afrikaans, and/or Xhosa) an advantage
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and software
