The organization
This is where you will work

This machine builder in Drachten develops and builds smart packaging machines for e-commerce and logistics, among others. The company's origins date back to 1924, when they started with machines for the production of clogs. Later they grew towards envelope machines and now they build high-tech packaging lines.

The machines automatically measure the size of an order and create the exact right cardboard packaging around it. Not too big, not too small, but perfectly tailored. This saves cardboard, space, and transport costs.

They are currently building machines that can process 500 to 1,100 orders per hour. In addition, work is being done on a new machine that combines the best of both concepts. So you will end up in an environment where technology is constantly being improved.

The position
This is what you will do

As a Machine Builder, you will help build modules and complete machines. You will work from technical drawings and will be involved in mechanical assembly, electrical connections, pneumatics, sensors, and cabling.

You will build machines that will measure products, form cardboard, fold packages, and automatically process orders. This makes the work technically varied and challenging.

Your tasks include:

• Building and assembling machine parts and modules
• Mechanical and electrical assembly work
• Connecting cabling, sensors, motors, and components
• Setting up and checking pneumatic systems
• Working from technical drawings and work instructions
• Solving technical issues during assembly
• Contributing ideas for improvements in the machine or work process

What we expect from you
Do you recognize yourself?

• A technical MBO diploma, for example in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience as an assembly mechanic, machine builder, service mechanic, or mechanic in a technical environment
• You can read technical drawings
• You have an affinity with mechanics, electrical engineering, and pneumatics
• You work accurately and think practically
