Nour client, a leading European group in the construction and concessions sector specializing in industrial maintenance, mechanics, and piping for the energy, petrochemical, and nuclear sectors. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the fire sprinkler system installer is responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining networks of pipes intended for automatic fire extinguishing. He ensures that the system is ready to function instantly in case of an emergency.
- Tasks :
Installation and Assembly
Reading plans: Interpreting network plans and installation schemes.
Preliminary work: Tracing pipe routes and fixing supports (collars, threaded rods) on ceilings or structures.
Assembly: Cutting, threading, and assembling tubes (black steel or galvanized) by grooving, screwing, or riveting.
Component placement: Installing sprinkler heads, control valves, anti-return valves, and control posts.
In-service testing and Maintenance
Leak tests: Conducting hydraulic tests (pressure tests) to detect any leaks.
Maintenance: Replacing worn-out sprinkler heads or modifying the network following a building renovation.
Reporting: Providing updates on work progress and reporting anomalies.
Schedule: Variable according to sites, frequent travel expected. You hold a CACES R486 Cat A and B certificate with RC1 and Electrical Authorization (BS/BE).
Mastery of industrial piping techniques.
Use of specialized tools: pipe cutter, threader, drill press, laser level.
Knowledge of fire safety standards (type APSAD).
Reading ISO plans and technical diagrams.
Ability to work at heights (use of elevating platforms).
Precision and Rigor: A mounting error can prevent the triggering of emergency services.
Team spirit: Frequent teamwork on site.
Safety awareness: Strict respect for wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Autonomy: Ability to organize your workstation on the construction site.
