About the Role
We are seeking agronomists, biologists, or professionals with similar backgrounds to join our operations team on a temporary basis, providing monitoring services for blueberry production in the Tepatitlán, Jalisco region.
Main Tasks:
- Support the implementation and follow-up of experimental field trials according to Beeflow protocols.
- Monitor the advancement of flowering and crop development, conducting flower and fruit counts.
- Mark plants, branches, and sampling points in the field, according to technical instructions.
- Record field data in mobile applications and/or notebooks, ensuring the quality and backup of the information.
- Collaborate with beekeepers in the management and relocation of beehives.
- Conduct quality measurements of fruit (caliber, weight, number of seeds) and participate in experimental harvests.
- Capture images and collect GPS coordinates for georeferencing data.
- Supervise the correct preparation and application of honey and technologies for bee feeding.
- Comply with safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Maintain a log of activities performed in the field as technical backup.
Modalidad de contratación:
Contract for a 6-month season, approximately, starting in October 2025.
Requirements
- Graduate of agronomy, biology, or related fields (non-exclusive)
- Full-time availability to assume a seasonal job.
- Valid driver's license
- Own transportation (desirable)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Resident of Tepatitlán or surrounding areas (less than 60Km distance)
- Prior knowledge of apiculture is valued
