Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division - a new era of mobile repair. A competitive base salary of £40,178, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000. A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities. 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a brand new, dedicated team focusing on the proactive maintenance and repair of vehicles for our corporate clients. This means fewer stressful roadside callouts and more opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality, diagnostic and repair work in a controlled environment. You’ll be a valued member of a supportive team, working from home and travelling to client locations in a fully equipped RAC van. What you’ll be doing: Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles. Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Performing routine checks and ensuring vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. Providing excellent customer service to our corporate clients. Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out. Adhering to all health and safety regulations. What you’ll need: A full, valid UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points). A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and repair. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and customer-focused approach. What we offer: Competitive base salary of £40,178.
