Job description

Our Mobility and Device Management Platform team is looking for a Workspace ONE UEM / MDM Engineer (m/f/d) based in Lille

We manage Decathlon's mobility backbone with over 150,000 devices managed daily on our Workspace ONE platform. Our major challenges: ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience in the field (primarily Android store and logistics devices), industrializing the management of our fleet, and strengthening overall security levels.

Join an international and passionate feature team, where agility, automation, and expertise sharing are at the heart of our daily practices.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

Within a Feature Team composed of 4 engineers and a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation, optimization, and technical evolution of our Workspace ONE UEM platform.

As an MDM / UEM Engineer, you will actively work on the enrollment, configuration, application distribution, and operational and security maintenance of our global fleet of 150,000 devices.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Administer and configure the Workspace ONE UEM console: manage Smart Groups, deploy configuration profiles, application catalogs, and compliance rules.
  • Manage the mobile device lifecycle: mass enrollment (Android Zero-Touch, Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment, Apple Business Manager / ADE), OS updates, and shared fleet management (stores / logistics).
  • Industrialize and automate: design automation scripts and leverage Workspace ONE REST APIs to reduce manual tasks and integrate UEM with the rest of our IT ecosystem.
  • Ensure security and compliance: implement security policies (encryption, conditional access, certificate management) in close collaboration with the InfoSec team.
  • Provide L3 expertise: investigate and resolve complex incidents, analyze logs, and liaise with vendor support if necessary.
  • Participate in deployment and migration projects: test new features, conduct pilot phases (PoC / UAT), and write technical documentation and procedures for support teams.

TECHNICAL STACK

  • UEM Platform: Workspace ONE UEM, Workspace ONE Access, Hub Services.
  • Operating Systems: Android Enterprise (Dedicated/COBO, Fully Managed, Work Profile), iOS / iPadOS, knowledge of macOS / Windows.
  • Enrollment Programs: Android Zero-Touch, Samsung KME, Apple Business Manager (ABM / ADE).
  • Automation & Integration: REST APIs, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Postman).
  • Collaborative Tools & Agility: Jira, Confluence, Git.

WHAT YOU BRING

Passionate about mobile technologies and system administration, you have solid practical experience in managing and troubleshooting a large-scale device fleet.

  • Experience in the daily administration and configuration of a UEM solution, ideally Workspace ONE (a certification is a real asset).
  • Proficiency in Android Enterprise specifics (management modes, shared and dedicated fleet management) and the Apple (iOS/iPadOS) environment.
  • Practical skills in scripting and APIs (Python, PowerShell) to automate operational workflows.
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills (Level 3): rigor in troubleshooting, analysis of device and console logs.
  • Service orientation and team spirit: enjoyment of agile work methods, documentary rigor, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Professional English is essential (international team context).

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • 2 days of remote work per week;
  • Opportunity to work in one of Decathlon Digital's offices (Lille, Paris);
  • Equipment provided suited to your tasks and our societal commitments (Mac, Windows, or Chromebook);
  • A local team within a global network (opportunities for international mobility and careers);
  • Continuous skills development (vendor certifications covered from the 1st year, technical training, conferences);
  • Attractive package (employee stock ownership, monthly/quarterly bonuses, sports benefits).
