Become our new OMFS surgeonThe University Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussels) is looking for an OMFS surgeon with a special interest and demonstrable expertise in cleft and craniofacial surgery, to strengthen the multidisciplinary team. The appointment is on a self-employed basis, with a commitment of at least 3 days a week.
How do you make the difference?As an OMFS surgeon within UZ Brussels:
- You are responsible for the surgical treatment of patients with cleft and craniofacial disorders, both in children and adults.
- You work closely within a multidisciplinary cleft team (including OMFS surgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, orthodontists, speech therapists, pediatricians and psychologists).
- You participate in consultations, operative activities for both the above and general OMFS pathology.
- You contribute to the continuity and further development of cleft and craniofacial care within UZ Brussels.
- You contribute to research and education.
- You contribute to the OMFS surgery on-call schedule
- You are or will soon be recognized as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- You have a clear affinity and demonstrable experience or special interest in cleft and craniofacial surgery.
- You have a broad clinical expertise within the field of OMFS surgery.
- You have a clear trainer profile and derive satisfaction from knowledge transfer and supervision.
- You function smoothly within a university and multidisciplinary environment.
- Scientific interest is recommended
- You have strong communication and organizational skills.
- You are willing to work on a self-employed basis.
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch is required; fluent knowledge of French is recommended; knowledge of other languages is an added value.
- An interesting position within a university hospital with a tertiary reference function.
