Accounting/Billing Staff (m/w/d)

The Finance Department of HHL is responsible for all areas of financial administration at the university, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting, cash flow management, cost accounting, and controlling, as well as internal and external reporting.

Tasks

• You process all transactions in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• You ensure timely payment processing.
• You take on preparatory tasks for the monthly and quarterly closing according to HGB.
• You participate in the development of processes and workflows, especially with regard to digitalization, and work on projects.
• You answer internal and external inquiries and clarify factual and arithmetic questions.

Qualification

• Your completed commercial education and experience in financial accounting make you a good fit for us. Ideally, you also bring knowledge of German tax law.
• You enjoy working precisely, analyzing financial data, and detecting discrepancies.
• A structured, self-reliant, and conscientious work style is second nature to you.
• Your high service orientation and solution-oriented communication are characteristic features.
• You have very good and secure user knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel). Experience with SAGE 100 is desirable but not a condition.
• Your very good German language skills complete your profile. English language skills are desirable.
