SQL Server Administrator / Data Analyst (m/f/d)

Focus: MS SQL Server & Dynamics NAV

Location: Hilden | Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

Your tasks – What awaits you

• Keep databases in check: You will manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure as well as our Dynamics NAV environment for smooth operation.

• Performance & Security: You will ensure fast queries (query optimization), high availability, and reliable data backup and security concepts.

• Automate processes: With T-SQL and PowerShell, you will simplify recurring administrative tasks and set up automated jobs.

• Support & Troubleshooting: You will provide support in error analysis (2nd and 3rd level support) in close collaboration with the departments and external partners.

• Shape the future: You will assist in the further development of our data models (ETL / SQL Server Integration Services) and accompany exciting projects such as future system upgrades.

• Optional insights: If interested, you can also manage evaluations or dashboards (e.g., with Power BI) based on our data sources.

Your profile – What you bring

• Solid foundation: Successfully completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration or application development), a degree in computer science, or a comparable qualification.

• Language skills: Fluent German language skills (at least C1) in speaking and writing for smooth communication with colleagues and departments.

• Practical experience: Several years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL Servers as well as a solid understanding of database architectures.

• Good scripting skills: Proficient in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting.

• Analytical mind: You enjoy structuring data, think in a solution-oriented way, and like to work independently.

This would be the cherry on top (not a must!):

• Initial practical experience with the database architecture of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 (Navision).

• Knowledge or interest in reporting / Power BI.
