Job Description Middle School History Educator (Grades 6–8) – Cambridge / IGCSE Roles and Responsibilities Subject Excellence and Delivery Plan and deliver concept-driven History lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE History frameworks . Develop students’ understanding of historical events, timelines, causation, continuity, change, and significance . Teach students to analyse sources, evidence, perspectives, and interpretations , in line with Cambridge expectations. Prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities . Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, empathy, and understanding among students . Encourage students to think critically, solve problems, and develop effective communication skills . Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources . Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and assessment policies . Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement . Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning practices .
