Microsoft Cloud & AI Infrastructure (Senior) Consultant (m/f/d)
Job description
For over 25 years, at Windhoff Group, we have been transforming data into real business opportunities – from classic Business Intelligence to AI-driven automation. We think holistically: we support our clients end-to-end, from strategy through technical implementation to productive operation. Whether it's BI reporting, data warehousing, predictive analytics, or AI solutions – our ambition is to create measurable added value from data.
As part of our team, you will work with experienced colleagues on challenging projects and develop yourself within the entire Data & AI landscape in a direction that suits you.
In addition to our technical expertise, we are an employer that promotes diversity and ensures that all employees are treated fairly. Let us know if there is anything we should take special consideration of – such as specific working hours or other conditions, your personal life situation, or special needs at work.
Sounds like a dream job? Then become part of the team now!
Tasks
- As a technical expert, you will advise clients and colleagues, analyze requirements, and design cloud, data, and AI infrastructures based on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
- Your focus will be technical in nature: you will build landing zones, networks, authentication, and governance structures, and be responsible for their secure, documented, and trouble-free operation. ITIL is not a foreign word to you, but your daily companion.
- You automate instead of clicking: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), and reusable modules are the norm for you.
- You keep an eye on costs: with FinOps methods, you create transparency over Azure and Databricks expenses, dimension environments correctly, and make consumption understandable for business units.
- You bring AI into productive operation: you will set up, secure, and reliably operate Azure AI Services, RAG and vector infrastructure, as well as MCP servers, agents, and their skills.
- You take responsibility as a consultant for migration, modernization, and implementation projects and support monitoring and support tasks.
- At the interface with SAP, you will work closely with our SAP Basis experts when SAP data needs to flow into Fabric or Databricks.
Qualification
- You have several years of professional experience in building and operating Azure infrastructures.
- You are proficient in Azure (IaaS/PaaS, networking, storage, Entra ID, governance) and master Linux and Windows server operating systems.
- You have worked with Databricks and/or know Microsoft Fabric from a platform perspective.
- Infrastructure as Code is your way of working: Terraform or Bicep, plus scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and Git-based work.
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost control is a strong plus.
- You are familiar with network technology, security fundamentals (Zero Trust, Secrets Management, Defender for Cloud), and performance optimization.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500) as well as Fabric or Databricks certifications are always welcome – we appreciate existing ones, and we promote and finance missing ones.
- Through your high degree of initiative and very good communication skills, you successfully bring your ideas to fruition both internally and with our clients. Fluent (C-level) German and good English skills are required for this.
Benefits
- We hire regardless of location. You will work predominantly remotely – from home or at one of our locations if it is easily accessible for you. You will travel approximately 1-2 times a month for client appointments and team events, no matter where you live in Germany.
- 130 Data & Analytics Consultants for exchange as well as an internal further training academy.
- Long-term projects with changing technological challenges.
- A fixed budget for further training opportunities as well as personal and professional development prospects.
- Good work-life balance through flexible working hours, overtime compensation, and up to 40 days of vacation.
- Both first-class hardware and software equipment as well as leasing options for company cars, IT hardware, and bicycles.
- Short communication channels within the company, fair treatment of each other, and enjoyable team events.
Do you have the desired experience and are looking for a new challenge? Are you flexible, solution-oriented, and communicative?
Seize your opportunity: we offer the right environment for your career.
