Our client is an internationally active industrial supplier in the mobility sector, headquartered in the greater Kassel area. The company is growing on a very solid order basis, and IT is intended to support this growth with reliable services.

Why This Role?

The IT infrastructure is now to be set up cleanly step by step. Roles, groups, and group policies have emerged over time and need clear organization. At the same time, the tenant should cleanly map all locations, and the further rollout of Microsoft 365 into the organization is pending.

• Because you will shape the roadmap for the further rollout from the beginning.

• Because in the end, there will be a backend that the company can rely on as it grows.

These Are Your Tasks

• You will reorganize roles, groups, and permissions: merge groups, define naming conventions, build a role concept with RBAC and Privileged Identity Management, and use Administrative Units per country if necessary.

• You will be responsible for identities and accesses in Entra ID, depending on the environment, hybrid with local Active Directory, including Conditional Access and MFA.

• You will clean up existing group policies and gradually migrate them to Intune.

• You will expand Intune as a platform for device management: Autopilot, software distribution, compliance policies, as well as smartphones and tablets.

• You will implement security fundamentals in the tenant, including Defender basic protection in coordination with the external SOC, and keep licenses and admin accounts clean.

• You will manage Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint on a technical level.

• You will plan the further rollout of Microsoft 365, introduce it into the organization, and document standards in writing.

For context: The role is responsible for the technical backend of Microsoft 365, i.e., tenant, identities, permissions, policies, and security. You will conceptualize and implement it yourself. In doing so, you will work closely with colleagues in the infrastructure team at locations in Europe and North America.

What You Bring

• Completed IT training or a degree with an IT focus

• Several years of practical experience in administering Microsoft 365 in a corporate IT environment, ideally with multiple sites or countries

• Proficient use of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, and Exchange Online, as well as experience in migrating group policies

• Automation with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph

• Project experience and the ability to structure and complete a topic independently

• Very good German and good English skills

• Advantageous: Certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, SC-300, or AZ-104, as well as experience with Microsoft Defender
