Mexico Engineering Senior Manager

Join our team as HSE Leader Mexico Job objective: This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of an annual budget of $15M capital projects portfolio across multiple manufacturing plants in Mexico for General Resins ensuring delivery of value-added engineering solutions that enhance production capacity, asset integrity, efficiency, safety, sustainability and circularity. Working through a team of approximately 10 engineers the manager oversees the full project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including budgeting, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and close-out. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in engineering, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and executing a comprehensive capital projects portfolio strategy that aligns with General Resins' business objectives and priorities. • Leading and managing a team of engineers to deliver high-quality project outcomes that meet or exceed customer expectations. • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, including operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and best practices. • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve project delivery and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 8+ years of experience in engineering management, and a strong track record of delivering capital projects on time, within budget, and with high quality results. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams. • Technical expertise in engineering, including project management, design, and execution. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate risks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent is a plus.
