We’re a full-service business: designing, fabricating, and installing residential and commercial gates, fencing, and automation systems, all in-house. Our team values precision, safety, and craftsmanship, and we are looking for a skilled Metal Fabricator to join us.

Key Responsibilities

As a full-time Metal Fabricator, your duties will include:

• Interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to establish job requirements for gates and related structures
• Select, clean and prepare metal stock (steel, aluminium, etc.) suitable for gate fabrication
• Cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, work-benches, cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shape, bend and form metal components and tubes/pipes using machine tools, hand tools, heating and hammering as necessary
• Align parts to be joined accurately using measuring instruments and hand tools to ensure quality fit in gate frames and supports
• Weld metal joints (MIG, TIG, arc or relevant welding techniques), plus bolting or riveting, depending on design and structural needs
• Inspect welds for bead quality, penetration, alignment and overall precision
• Finish workmanship by cleaning, polishing, filing, grinding and treating surfaces (including chemical cleaning if required) to deliver a clean, strong, weather-resistant finish

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Desirable but not mandatory)
• Proven welding / metal fabrication experience, especially in gates, frames or similar structural work
• Good eye for detail, able to produce neat welds and accurate alignments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with finishing and surface treatment techniques
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
