MEP Project Manager – Job Description The MEP Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. They ensure systems are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Execution Develop MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets Coordinate with architects, structural teams, and contractors Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations Monitor project progress and identify potential issues Perform site visits to ensure quality and safety standards are met 2. Team Management Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals Foster open communication and resolve conflicts in a timely manner Provide guidance and training to team members as needed 3. Quality Control & Assurance Ensure all MEP systems meet quality and safety standards Conduct regular inspections and testing to verify system performance Identify and address any defects or issues Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of defects or issues 4. Budgeting & Cost Control Develop and manage project budgets Track expenses and identify areas for cost reduction Monitor project cash flow and ensure timely payment to contractors and suppliers Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time, while maintaining quality and safety standards
