Mental Health Occupational Therapist | No KPIs | Adults | 130k
Full Time
Job description
- Run your diary like a self-employed Occupational Therapist: set your travel radius, hours, and appointment mix
- Adult-focused caseload with scope to tailor complexity and clinical interest areas
- No KPIs, no pressure: work as little or as much as you like (you’re in control). If you’re an Occupational Therapist who wants the freedom of self-employment with the backing of a supportive clinical team, this is built for you.
Based on your home address, provide services around your chosen area.
Engagement: Contractor (self-directed, flexible, independent)
Your caseload and clinical focus: This role suits a Mental Health Occupational Therapist who wants to build a caseload that reflects their interests, rather than being boxed into a one-size-fits-all model.
- Predominantly adult mental health
- Potential mix: complex MH, PTSD, schizophrenia, autism, ADLs/functional assessments
- Optional small paediatrics component if that’s your preference
- Your caseload can evolve over time as your interests shift
This is a high-trust contracting setup; you’re treated like a professional with full support and backing by the Director.
- Mobile, home-based: travel from home to clients
- Choose your load: set your travel radius, hours, and appointment mix (full caseload available)
- Optional “back-end” support: help for service agreements, budgets, and reports
- Stay connected: fortnightly supervision + collegial culture (mid-year dinner + Christmas get-together)
- Registered Occupational Therapist
- Warm, approachable communicator who enjoys collaboration
- Confident working independently with strong documentation/report writing
- Comfortable liaising with support workers (coaching + capability building)
- Realistic $130,000 earning potential (assumes 4.5 billable hrs/day + 6 weeks annual downtime)
- True flexibility — pick the days/hours that suit your life
- Professional development — online PD + peer support from experienced clinicians
- Independence, autonomy, and genuine input into how services grow
