As an Information Manager for us, you are the driving force in an area of responsibility within BOO IT, working at the intersection of business and IT to develop advanced solutions.

As an Information Manager for Governance and Management Information, you will work on strengthening governance within Defence through the use of dashboarding. You will help Defence units translate their strategic/tactical and operational issues into usable dashboards, thereby helping Defence work towards modern and data-driven operations.

Your primary activities:

• Inventorying and analyzing governance needs within domains such as Mission Readiness, Personnel Readiness, Materiel Readiness, Finance, Procurement, Security, or Logistics.
• Facilitating sessions with process owners, controllers, and line management to refine KPIs and management information.
• Developing functional designs for dashboards.

• You are capable of leading and directing meetings with involved policymakers, users, and IT specialists;
• You know how to formulate client requirements for IT projects and Work Under Architecture and to communicate policy advice;
• You have solid experience in drafting Project Start Documents / Project Letters / Project Proposals.

• You have knowledge and experience in one of the following fields:

Department description

Your standard work location is at the Kromhout Barracks in Utrecht. Colleagues work at various locations, so travel may be part of your role.

Within the Joint Information Provision Command (JIVC), the Governance & Other Support IT (BOO IT) department, along with other functional and operational IT departments, serves as the Defence supplier of complete systems, applications, trainers, and simulators for the armed forces in the respective domain. Based on in-depth knowledge of business operations, user, and maintenance processes, the department contributes to translating requirements and wishes into concrete specifications, either for its own software development project or for an externally contracted development assignment. The department is also responsible for maintaining the application landscape of the BOO IT areas of responsibility.
