This role performs the general technical assignments and testing in assigned sections of the laboratory. The Medical Technologist II may act as a lead technologist, providing direction to other laboratory personnel. ?Job Responsibilities: Perform and review a variety of clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsible for quality control and assurance of assigned testing. Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, including calibration. Perform and review quality control and quality assurance. Participate in proficiency testing programs. Assist in the training of new laboratory staff. Prepare reagents and controls. Maintain accurate records of all tests performed, quality control data, and instrument maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean working environment. ?Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, or related science. Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience. Experience in flow cytometry is preferred. Must possess a valid Medical Technologist license or equivalent. ?Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory principles and practices. Ability to perform a wide variety of laboratory tests accurately and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
