Medical Director (m/f/x)

As Medical Director, you will be responsible for the medical topic catalog of one of Germany's largest CME learning platforms. What we present reaches countless doctors – your content decisions will have an immediate impact on the medical knowledge that reaches Germany.

You will lead our seven-person Medical Team, maintain contact with department heads and opinion leaders, develop new training formats, and build the processes with which we grow from a startup to a scale-up. The role is intentionally broad: strategic in catalog and format development, operational in daily business, and always with the medical perspective as the benchmark.

• Responsibility for the topic catalog: You will steer which medical topics we cover – across disciplines, evidence-based, and with a clear view of healthcare relevance and market gaps.

• Speaker network: You will be in daily exchange with department heads and KOLs, build long-term relationships, and continuously gain new training ideas from them.

• Team leadership: You will lead and develop our Medical Team – two full-time colleagues and five students. The Medical Editors work on content and coordinate projects with sponsors and speakers; the Medical Students handle quality control, create course descriptions, and develop new topic ideas.

• Format development: We produce videos, panel discussions, and e-learnings – form and content go hand in hand. For new formats such as short videos or gamification of the learning experience, your medical input and medical perspective are the decisive factors.

• Project and topic steering: You will manage the topic ideas for ongoing projects and coordinate closely with speakers to ensure project requirements are implemented cleanly in terms of content.

• Quality assurance & compliance: You will ensure that our training courses comply with CME standards, are evidence-based, and meet regulatory requirements.

• Process improvement & automation: On our way to becoming a scale-up, automation and lean processes are the focus. You will streamline workflows and documentation tools within and across teams – as a Director, you play the key role for functioning cross-departmental collaboration.
  

• Background: Completed medical degree.

• Professional experience: Ideally 5+ years of professional experience, preferably clinical, in the industry, or in the digital health sector.

• Leadership experience: Initial experience as a Team Lead is a clear advantage – it is crucial that you can develop people and set priorities.

• Hands-on mindset: We are scaling. You will take care of things yourself instead of just delegating them, and you are not afraid to get hands-on operationally.

• Enthusiasm for processes: You enjoy project management, building structures, and medical content or medical education – this combination is the core of the role.

• Advantageous: Experience in a startup and in medical education.

• Communication skills: Confident demeanor when dealing with leading medical professionals and industry partners, professional communication style both verbally and in writing.

• Languages: Native-level German and fluent English are required.
