Medical Director (m/f/x)

As Medical Director, you will be responsible for the medical topic catalog of one of Germany's largest CME learning platforms. What we present reaches countless doctors – your content decisions have a direct impact on which medical knowledge reaches Germany.

You will lead our seven-person Medical Team, maintain contact with department heads and opinion leaders, develop new continuing education formats, and build the processes that enable us to grow from a startup to a scale-up. The role is intentionally broad: strategic in catalog and format development, operational in day-to-day business, and always with the physician's perspective as the benchmark.

• Responsibility for the topic catalog: You control which medical topics we cover – across disciplines, evidence-based, and with a clear view of healthcare relevance and market gaps.

• Speaker Network: You will be in daily exchange with department heads and KOLs, build long-term relationships, and continuously gain new continuing education ideas from them.

• Team Leadership: You will lead and develop our Medical Team – two full-time colleagues and five students. The Medical Editors work on content and coordinate projects with sponsors and speakers; the Medical Students handle quality control, create course descriptions, and develop new topic ideas.

• Format Development: We produce videos, panel discussions, and e-learnings – form and content go hand in hand. For new formats such as short videos or gamification of the learning experience, your medical input and physician perspective are the decisive factors.

• Project and Topic Management: You will manage the topic ideas for ongoing projects and coordinate closely with speakers to ensure project requirements are met with high content accuracy.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance: You will ensure that our continuing education meets CME standards, is evidence-based, and complies with regulatory requirements.

• Process Improvement & Automation: On our path to becoming a scale-up, automation and lean processes are central. You will streamline workflows and documentation tools within and across teams – as a Director, you play a key role in ensuring functional cross-departmental collaboration.
  

• Background: Completed medical degree.

• Work Experience: Ideally 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a clinical setting, in the industry, or in the digital health sector.

• Leadership Experience: Initial experience as a Team Lead is a clear advantage – the crucial factor is your ability to develop people and set priorities.

• Hands-on Mindset: We are scaling. You take care of things yourself rather than just delegating, and you are not afraid to get involved operationally.

• Enthusiasm for Processes: You enjoy project management, building structures, and medical content or medical education – this combination is the core of the role.

• Advantageous: Experience in a startup and in medical education.

• Communication Skills: Confident presence when interacting with leading medical professionals and industry partners, professional communication style both verbally and in writing.

• Languages: Native-level German and fluent English are required.
