We’re looking for a detail-oriented Medical Biller to support healthcare providers with end-to-end billing tasks—from patient registration to claims follow-up and collections. If you have strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and experience with medical billing workflows, this role might be a great fit for you.
This role is open to all candidates in the Philippines and all over Latin America.
Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collect patient information, including demographics and insurance details
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage before appointments
- Translate diagnoses and procedures into standardized codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Enter codes and charges into the billing software based on provider documentation
- Create and send insurance claims electronically (or on paper, when needed)
- Ensure claims are complete and error-free to avoid denials
- Apply payments from insurance and patients to the correct accounts
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Resubmit corrected claims when needed
- Send bills to patients for unpaid balances
- Handle payment plans or collections
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience in medical billing, charge entry, AR follow-up, or payment posting
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Experience using medical billing or EHR/EMR software
- Available to work in US time zones (Graveyard shift in the Philippines)
- Available to start within 2 weeks from job offer
Technical Requirements:
- Comfortable in using time-trackers (e.g. Time Doctor)
- Own laptop/desktop, noise-cancelling headphones, and webcam
- Reliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps)
- Available backup equipment in cases of power and internet outages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Google Workspace
