Medical Assistant I

Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth PC and SMC Lake Plaza, Colorado Springs, CO Department: Primary Care and Sports Med Lake Plaza Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary: Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. Responsibilities: Under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider, performs routine clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care. Assists with preparing patients for exams, takes vital signs, and performs basic laboratory tests. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and reports. Participates in quality improvement activities to improve patient outcomes. May assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and performing other administrative duties as needed. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality is essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Keywords: [
