Job Description

As a Production Control Employee at the Defense Materiel Pooling Organization (DMPO), you are responsible for the logistical planning and coordination of the daily workload for the intake and issue of pooled materiel. Want to know what the DMPO organization does? Look here!

You assess incoming requests and ensure they are processed correctly in the systems. Your focus is on progress: you closely monitor the planning, so that the materiel is delivered on time and according to the correct specifications. Are there shortages or is the planning in danger of stalling? Then you signal this immediately and intervene to prevent delays.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Managing and processing requests from the shared inbox.

  • Timely signaling of bottlenecks or stagnation in the planning and taking proactive action.

  • Monitoring stock levels, so that orders and requests are always placed on time.

  • Communicating with applicants and involved teams in a professional, customer- and organization-oriented manner.

  • Reporting the progress and results of planned activities to the senior Production Control Employee.

Job Requirements

You are a logistics professional who naturally maintains an overview, even when the work becomes dynamic. Because you are responsible for progress, you work with extreme accuracy and are strong in analysis, planning, and organization. You liaise extensively with various departments and applicants, so clear communication is very important and you are strong in teamwork.

Additionally, you bring the following:

  • A completed education at a minimum MBO 3 level.

  • Relevant work experience within a logistics organization.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with, or a strong affinity for, working with SAP.

Other Employment Conditions

The Ministry of Defence has good secondary employment conditions. From 2025 onwards, defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and year-end bonus as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees totals 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, on what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or fiscal facilities. This can be up to the maximum monthly accrued budget.

The IKB can be used for:

  • A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance;
  • The monthly difference between the allowance for own transportation costs for commuting and the fiscal maximum;
  • A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance;
  • A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance;
  • A battery or electrical components for a bicycle;

  • The Ministry of Defence expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.

Particulars

A security investigation (VGB) is part of the application process.

It is necessary that you, as a civilian applicant, have Dutch nationality. The ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a condition for appointment. Furthermore, a security investigation and reference check may be part of the selection procedure.
