Job Description

Your tasks within the Operational Control Center (UAS-OCC) department:

• You are the central point of contact for customers of the CRV. You are jointly responsible for planning the activities and staffing of the UAS-OCC department; • You answer questions and provide advice on current regulations and the use of unmanned systems; • You handle reports of occurrences and incidents in the designated computer systems and coordinate related follow-up actions; • You analyze and archive provided flight information and report relevant information to the Operations Manager; • You schedule visits to operational units for operational supervision; • You manage the overview of authorizations, qualifications, and currencies of all operators of unmanned systems; • You maintain an overview of the flights scheduled by the units, you check if these flights meet all requirements, and you issue flight authorizations on behalf of the Operations Manager; • You are jointly responsible for managing various computer systems, such as OMIS (Operational Management Information System) and SkyOps. • You are jointly responsible for managing and publishing all documentation of the CRV.

Job Requirements

We ask: • Knowledge of (military) aviation regulations, especially EASA OPEN and SPECIFIC; • Skill in working with computer systems and associated software; • Experience working with drone systems; • Good communication skills in speech and writing; • Proficiency in the Dutch and English languages in speech and writing.

Other Employment Conditions

From 2025, defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and the end-of-year bonus as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees amounts to a total of 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, on what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or tax facilities. This can be up to the maximum of the monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the reimbursement for the costs of own transportation for commuting and the tax maximum.
• A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
• A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
• A battery or electrical components for a bicycle.
• The payment of union membership fees.
• Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.

Special Conditions

• A security investigation (VGB) is part of the application process.
• It is necessary that you, as a civilian applicant, have Dutch nationality. Being able to present a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a prerequisite for employment. Additionally, a security investigation and reference check may be part of the selection procedure. This involves a background check on, among other things, criminal records and financial matters, which takes an average of 8 weeks.
