Job Description
As an equipment logistics employee, you will perform activities within the production control (PRODBEST) of 134 recovery platoon. This platoon is located in Stroe but falls under 13 Recovery Company (Oirschot).
13 Recovery Company aims to provide direct support in terms of maintenance and supply to the assigned units, to guarantee the material availability of the (organic) assigned equipment of the units to be supported, and to lead the maintenance capacity under command for the execution of additional support.
134 Recovery Platoon aims to maintain the deployability and availability of the client's organic equipment.
With this, the recovery platoon supports the client in the execution of its task.
The production control supports the commander by managing the maintenance process and the associated goods flow.
This includes capacity planning, work issuance, ordering and managing spare parts and materials, progress monitoring, and adjustment.
As an equipment logistics employee, you are responsible for preparing, planning, and monitoring the execution of the maintenance process, checking the progress of the primary logistics process, and advising the equipment logistics non-commissioned officer in the area of the maintenance process.
Activities:
1. Prepares, plans, and monitors the execution of the maintenance process by:
- studying orders and requests and creating work orders;
- determining the required personnel and material resources and establishing the sequence of work;
- planning maintenance by linking tasks to available capacity and identifying and resolving gaps;
- collecting and processing work order data, taking measures in case of disruptions, and reporting repaired material as ready;
- reporting findings;
- formulating improvement proposals;
- overseeing the implementation of improvement measures.
2. Monitors the progress of the primary logistics process by:
- conducting research into the execution of recovery processes;
- inventorying the system usage (SAP) and identifying bottlenecks;
- isolating and interpreting disruptions and comparing findings with process descriptions;
- reporting findings and formulating improvement proposals;
- implementing and monitoring approved improvement measures.
3. Advises the OO MATLOG in the area of the maintenance process by:
- collecting and interpreting relevant information;
- performing evaluations based on the findings;
- formulating and presenting advice proposals;
- overseeing (or arranging oversight of) the implementation of the outcomes of the advised measures.

MBO 3, preferably with a technical background.

From 2025, defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and year-end bonus as separate payments. Instead, they will accrue these monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees amounts to a total of 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, on what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or tax facilities. This can be up to the maximum monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:
- A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the travel cost reimbursement.
- The monthly difference between the reimbursement for the costs of personal transport for commuting and the tax maximum.
- A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
- A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
- A battery or electrical parts for a bicycle.
- The payment of trade union contributions.
- Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.
Special Provisions
- A security investigation (VGB) is part of the application process.
- It is necessary that you have Dutch nationality as a civilian applicant. The ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is a condition for employment. In addition, a security investigation and reference check may be part of the selection procedure. This involves a background check on, among other things, criminal record and financial matters, which takes an average of 8 weeks.

13 Light Brigade is rapidly deployable worldwide thanks to its (armored) wheeled vehicles over longer distances. Since March 30, 2023, the brigade has been part of the German 10th Armoured Division.
