From the role as an Information Provision & Automation Officer, the following tasks include guiding change processes resulting from changes to the IT systems. Broken down by process, these tasks can be specified as identifying, formulating (prioritizing), and analyzing problems within the IT and business operations processes, and monitoring problem resolution.
During new IT releases and changes, you will act as the first point of contact for end-users and line managers of the department. These can be user requests, in which you are the one for business operations advice. Act as the first point of contact for IT service provision. In doing so, you will look for process improvements regarding IT for the department. It is important to have contact with the right key figures.
Gaining insight into the IT business processes of the department and insight into the department's IT landscape (applications; software & hardware) is an important factor. Also, providing future-oriented advice on this.
You will support the head of the section and your colleagues from GWS (ground-based weapon systems) and will also contribute to:
• Responsibility for the execution, evaluation, and coordination of the IT landscape (software & hardware) of the department. In this regard, assessing and querying needs within the department is very important.
• Providing advice on ICT issues and IT-related matters.
• Drafting and evaluating IT manuals that are applicable to the department.
• Responsible contact with IT suppliers within the Ministry of Defence.
• Coordinating and guiding knowledge sharing of IT business operations within the department.
• Onboarding new employees within the department. Rights, ICT resources (hardware & software)
• Consulting and updating work registration systems, such as in Service management ServiceNow, Microsoft, and IAM systems.
Furthermore, you will work closely with your other team colleagues, the department, and various other parts within and outside COMMIT.
Job requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s work and thinking level or a demonstrably equivalent combination of education and experience or NLDA;
• knowledge of results-oriented business operations;
• knowledge of IT organization;
• knowledge of IT architecture;
• knowledge of Policy regarding IT process management at Defence;
• knowledge of maintenance, migration, and user management of IT functionality;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of project trajectories and change management.

The stated salary is based on your work experience and educational background and is based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours. As of January 1, 2026, the aforementioned salary will increase by 2%.
