At the Technical Services of KU Leuven, an enthusiastic team works daily on the management and maintenance of an impressive heritage of historical buildings to ultra-modern research facilities. So we contribute to the science and technology of tomorrow. As a unit within the Technical Services, the Facilities Services ensure a high-quality, customer-oriented, competitive, and professional service delivery both technically and logistically, in support of the core activities of the university, including the provision of technical infrastructure, maintenance, and repair services for buildings, laboratories, and other facilities. This includes ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained, conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards or defects, and implementing measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. The Facilities Services also provide support for events, such as conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, by providing technical infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. In addition, the team is responsible for managing the university's fleet of vehicles, including cars, vans, and bicycles, ensuring that they are properly maintained and available for use. Furthermore, the Facilities Services collaborate with other departments to develop and implement sustainable solutions for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
