Job description
Appel Médical Search is the division dedicated to physicians, surgeons, managers, and directors of healthcare facilities of Appel Médical, No. 1 in temporary work and recruitment in the medical, paramedical, and pharmaceutical fields for over 50 years. Whether for temporary work, on-call duty, a fixed-term contract, or a permanent contract, our consultants located in 31 offices throughout France will assist you in your job search. The role of a consulting physician offers you the opportunity to evolve your medical practice in a rich and diverse environment. You will mobilize your clinical knowledge and analytical skills to contribute to the quality of care, the relevance of treatments, and the regulation of the healthcare system.
A different medical practice, fully respecting deontology, medical confidentiality, and your professional independence.
Your activity revolves around four complementary dimensions: evaluate, decide, support, and coordinate.
Evaluate medical situations and make informed decisions: approximately 50% of your activity is dedicated to medical consultations and evaluations, conducted in person or via teleconsultation. You will be particularly involved in evaluating medical situations related to sick leave, determining their continuation or evolution, examining disability cases, or assessing the after-effects of a work accident or occupational disease. These tasks require your clinical expertise, analytical skills, and ability to make reasoned medical decisions.
Analyze requests and provide medical opinions: you will analyze requests for prior authorization and applications for coverage of medical benefits. Your role will be to assess situations against applicable medical and regulatory criteria, formulate reasoned opinions, and explain them clearly. You will maintain at the core of your activity what makes medical practice rich: analysis, discernment, and decision-making.
Support healthcare professionals in the region: you will develop a collegial relationship with local physicians through dedicated interviews. You will be involved in supporting newly established physicians in understanding regulations, sharing information on prescribing practices, or the relevance of care. Your intervention will be part of a dialogue, support, and regulation process.
Work in a team and enrich your practice through multidisciplinarity: you will work in an environment that fosters cooperation and complementarity of expertise. Complex cases will be discussed in consultation meetings between consulting physicians. You will also work closely with consulting pharmacists, nurses from the Medical Service, and physiotherapists, within a structured task delegation organization. This team dynamic will allow you to continue learning, exchange with your peers, and contribute to quality decision-making.
Why join our team?
A profession that gives meaning to your expertise: you will contribute to a public service mission, serving the quality of care, fairness of treatment, and regulation of the healthcare system.
A work environment promoting life balance: regular working hours and work organization that allows you to maintain a balance between your professional and personal life. The activity does not require on-call duty. Consulting physicians can carry out their work remotely, up to 2 days per week.
Support for your professional development: training and support are provided upon starting your role to enable you to develop the specific skills of a consulting physician. The diverse activity offers you new learning opportunities and professional development prospects in a safe and supervised environment.
A collective and multidisciplinary dynamic: you will benefit from an environment that promotes exchanges between peers, sharing of expertise, and cooperation among healthcare professionals. This position is ideally suited for consulting physicians or those undergoing professional retraining (General Practitioner or other specialty with clinical experience).
Your skills:
Team spirit and open-mindedness: you appreciate collaborative work, sharing expertise, and constructive confrontation of viewpoints.
Interpersonal skills and adaptability: you demonstrate ease in interpersonal relationships, flexibility, and agility in the face of changes in your professional environment.
Training and legal obligations:
State Doctorate in Medicine diploma.
Mandatory registration with the Departmental Council of the Order of Physicians (attestation to be provided before starting employment).
Obligation to meet the requirements of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Your online application (including your CV) should be sent by email to: Guillaume TORFS,
