As part of Hôpital du Jura, the Delémont site (French-speaking Switzerland), the Pediatrics Department consists of a stationary hospitalization sector (9 beds for general pediatrics, 3 beds for neonatology 2A), a maternity ward (approx. 550 births/year), a pediatric emergency reception sector (approx. 10,000 visits/year), and an on-call consultation service - Mediped Centers Delémont and Porrentruy. The Pediatrics Department is a training center for pediatric residents recognized by the IFSM. Its mission is the medical, psycho-social, and surgical care of patients aged between 0 and 16 years. The team works in close collaboration with the University Hospital of Basel.

Chief Clinician in Pediatric Medicine

Responsibilities

The Chief Clinician in Pediatrics is a clinician trained in their specialty. They play a role in the direct care of patients, in the teaching and supervision of resident physicians (interns) and trainees (externs), and in managing patient flow under the supervision of a senior physician. They are subject to on-call duties within the hospital. These tasks and responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure patient care.
• Supervise and train resident physicians (interns) responsible for patient care.
• Proactively organize their work and the functioning of the department.
• Interact with specialists for optimal care of young patients.
• Participate in the pre- and postgraduate training of the department (trainees and residents).

Qualifications

• You hold a specialist title in pediatrics FMH or have equivalent training recognized at the European level by Mebeko.
• You ideally have at least 1 year of clinical experience in a pediatric emergency or general pediatrics department.
• You master French or have the ability to acquire it quickly (level B2/C1).
• Another foreign language (English, German, Italian, Spanish, or other) is welcome.
• Your dynamism is contagious.
