Mechanic / Project-Schrauber & Tech-Enthusiast or Practitioner (m/w/d) on Minijob Basis

We at eviit and x-plore offroad love challenges. Our latest project is standing on four massive tires: A 1985 Renault M150 4x4 Allrad-Lkw. Technically top-notch, but optically needs a bit of love – and above all, a technological upgrade. Our goal? To transform the analog oldie into a spectacular advertising vehicle and equip it with modern hardware as well as autonomous retrofit systems.

We're looking for you as a creative head and maker!

Aufgaben

You'll accompany the Lkw project from the bare chassis base to the rolling tech demo vehicle. Your tasks will split into two exciting areas:

1. The analog foundation (Hardware & Optik)

• Kosmetisches Treatment: You'll give the driver's cabin and frame the necessary optical fine-tuning (preparation, de-rusting, primer preparation).
• The Aufbau: You'll plan and build together with us a tailored platform or a cool custom build that fits perfectly to x-plore offroad.
• Klassische Mechanik: You'll install brackets, relocate cables, and ensure the base is absolutely robust.

2. The digital brain (Future Tech & Retrofitting)

• Drive-by-Wire: You'll support us in making the mechanical Lkw fit for the 21st century (integration of actuators for steering, gas, and air brake).
• Sensors-Integration: You'll help with the mechanical and electrical integration of LiDAR sensors, cameras, and computing hardware for autonomous driving systems.

Qualifikation

Hands-on-Mentalität: You have no fear of oil fingers, sweat droplets, and the smell of workshop.

Hintergrund: You're studying Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Technology or have a training in the Kfz/Nutzfahrzeug sector or are an extremely skilled hobby mechanic.

Werkzeug-Skills: Ideally, you can handle Flex, welding equipment, and multimeter.

Mindset: You're excited about the interface between robust old-school mechanics and modern sensorics/software.
