Job description

You are responsible for the assembly, adjustment, and testing of high-precision mechanical and optomechanical assemblies for high-speed electro-optical transceivers and contribute significantly to the production of high-performance products for demanding applications in data communication through your careful and quality-conscious approach.

Tasks

  • Erection and commissioning of mechanical, mechatronic, and electronic assemblies and systems, such as

  • Measuring instruments, test systems, fixtures

  • Special machines for the production of optoelectronic components

  • Professional control cabinet wiring for the aforementioned systems

  • Maintenance, upkeep, fault diagnosis, and repair of the mentioned systems

  • Maintenance and creation of technical documentation

  • Participation in prototype construction, sample production

  • Participation in the introduction of new products and processes into the line

  • Involvement in the procurement process

Qualification

  • Technical training or a Bachelor's degree, e.g., as a mechatronics technician, automation technology electronics technician, precision mechanic, industrial mechanic, aircraft mechanic
  • Strong knowledge in the use of tools and measuring instruments
  • Implementation of technical documents, such as technical drawings, electrical and pneumatic diagrams
  • Experience with components of industrial assembly automation, particularly drive technology
  • Handling of software tools for visualization, data acquisition, and documentation (e.g., E-Drawings, Fluid-Sim, Office)
  • Very good fine motor skills and high diligence when handling sensitive components
  • Pronounced awareness for detailed and precise work
  • Documentation of work steps
  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken (C1)
  • Good English language skills, both written and spoken (B2)

Desirable:

  • Experience in assembly, testing, or service of precision machines or systems, ideally in semiconductor, optics, medical technology, or electronics manufacturing
  • Knowledge in machining technology
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming in the area of assembly automation
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes
  • Basic knowledge of CAD viewers or simple 3D model views for better interpretation of assemblies
