Job Description

Micro 1 is looking for Mechanical Engineers with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a project dedicated to the development and training of advanced artificial intelligence and robotics systems.

In this role, you will analyze and label video footage featuring robots, mechanical systems, tools, components, and physical interactions. Your mechanical engineering knowledge will help ensure technically accurate and useful video annotations for training AI systems.

Previous experience in AI is not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing video footage featuring robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, and technical activities;
• Labeling objects, movements, actions, components, and mechanical interactions shown in videos;
• Identifying and documenting important mechanical details, such as movement, positioning, component behavior, and the sequence of task steps;
• Reviewing video annotations for accuracy, consistency, and completeness;
• Utilizing mechanical engineering knowledge to identify incorrect or unclear annotations;
• Carefully following project annotation instructions and standards;
• Providing feedback on difficult or ambiguous video examples;
• Working independently and completing annotation tasks within established deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Robotics, or a similar field;
• Good knowledge of mechanical components, tools, machinery, and physical systems;
• Ability to understand how mechanical components and systems move and interact;
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle differences in video content;
• Good written English skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions;
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

An Advantage

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA;
• Experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing, or industrial equipment;
• Experience in video annotation, data labeling, AI training, or computer vision projects;
• Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and mechanical tolerances.

Previous experience in AI or data annotation is not mandatory.
