Mechanical Engineer – Defence Engineering Support
Job description
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Defence Engineering Support
Location: Stafford (Full-time onsite | No remote working)
Perform survey, inspection, fault finding, repair and refurbishment of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in line with MOD standards.
Apply mechanical engineering expertise across vehicles, machinery, refuelling units, maintenance systems, and support equipment.
Collaborate within a specialist team providing technical support and engineering solutions for military operations.
Ensure work is carried out in a safety-compliant, methodical manner within a heavy engineering environment.
Use computer systems to document maintenance, repair findings, and engineering activities.
Support continuous improvement processes and contribute as a Subject Matter Expert where required.
