Mechanical Design Engineer - Chillers

Job Description The Job Mission This hybrid role requires you to live within a practical commute of Bristol ; modest relocation support is available. You’ll serve as Technical Lead for the chiller contract, overseeing quality and contract compliance. Your future team depends on your cross-discipline coordination to keep delivery on schedule. You’ll interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders, resolving issues and controlling change rigorously. Key responsibilities: Support the Contract Engineer in ensuring that all design deliverables meet the required standards; Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely completion of tasks; Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to manage procurement and logistics; Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders; Provide technical support to the project team as needed. Key skills: Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Experience working on large-scale projects; Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor); Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API); Certification in mechanical engineering or related field is desirable.
