The Opportunity We’re partnering with a large Sydney-based local council to recruit skilled Mechanics and Welders for their busy workshops. These are ongoing roles offering competitive pay rates of up to $52 per hour , great facilities, and the stability of working with local government. The Roles Mechanic Service, maintain, and repair council fleet vehicles (light to medium trucks, utilities, and plant equipment) Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance Ensure vehicle safety and compliance with relevant regulations Perform routine servicing tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment including forklifts, excavators, and other heavy machinery Welding Service, maintain, and repair council fleet vehicles (light to medium trucks, utilities, and plant equipment) Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance Ensure vehicle safety and compliance with relevant regulations Perform routine servicing tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment including forklifts, excavators, and other heavy machinery
