Mechanic

Summary: The GSE Mechanic is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles and also equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, de-icing trucks, push-back tugs, air start units, ground power units, and other ground services equipment. The GSE Mechanic must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble, and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain it in efficient operating condition. Work assignments will be received in the form of orders or instructions from supervisors or team leaders. The GSE Mechanic is expected to work independently with minimal supervision, but may receive guidance as needed. The GSE Mechanic must also be able to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics related to mechanical equipment and machinery. In addition, the GSE Mechanic must be able to maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and other documentation. The GSE Mechanic is required to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
