Reports to: Captain of Maintenance

MISSION OF THE JOB

Supervise mechanical maintenance work on Mina equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance programs, ensuring the safety of people, the care of the environment, and cost control in each activity to be performed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Distribute, assign, and coordinate mechanical maintenance tasks for the daily work program (preventive, inspection, and corrective maintenance) and non-programmed attention to the fleet of auxiliary equipment.
• Supervise the execution of mechanical maintenance tasks assigned to personnel under your charge, coordinating with third parties for the execution of programmed and non-programmed tasks.
• Control the execution of tool inventories, both hand tools (technicians' toolboxes) and those in the tool storage (diagnostic tools)
• Monitor the order and cleanliness before, during, and after the execution of maintenance work in the workshop and in the field.
• Review documentation generated in the workshop as a result of equipment attention, for subsequent sending to Planning.
• Supervise the shutdown and delivery of equipment in coordination with the Mina Operations area.
• Control orders and work notifications for corrective maintenance, supervising the technical closure of orders and work notifications in SAP.
• Perform basic maintenance on mine auxiliary equipment in the absence of technicians due to various reasons.

Safety and Security:

• Work in accordance with all health and safety regulations for cementation
• Be aware of any danger or infringement on health and safety and report to the Health and Safety Department.
• Participate in the safety program.

Travel Requirements:

• This position will be necessary for semi-regular travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• Minimum study: High School completed / Mechanic, Mechatronics
• Electromechanic or certified
• Years in similar positions: 3 years Experience in underground mining:
• 1 year: experience: in similar positions
  
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Academic formation: University completed, certification required.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Coordinate all maintenance activities (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation) to ensure the proper and safe execution of equipment and installations.
• Direct and manage the maintenance personnel at the site to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs, improve maintenance time, and increase equipment availability.
• Maintain an effective equipment history, a work history, and a preventive maintenance program using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Establish objectives for personnel, consistent with business and departmental needs, and make them responsible for achieving results.
• Capable of identifying improvement needs and implementing changes.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
• Ensure that all predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
