MECHANIC I

A Harsco Environmental is the principal provider of environmental services and material processing for the steel and metal industries worldwide. We are looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Mechanic I to join our team in Ouro Branco, Brazil. As Mechanic I, you will be responsible for performing maintenance of rotary equipment, including but not limited to: cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting mechanical components; performing routine inspections and tests to ensure equipment is functioning properly; and performing repairs and replacements as needed. You will also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: assisting in the development of maintenance procedures and training other team members; participating in continuous improvement initiatives; and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in a related field such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology is preferred. Proficiency in Portuguese is required, and proficiency in English is preferred.
