Truck Mechanic

Job Description

As a mechanic, you are responsible for carrying out maintenance work and repairs on trucks.

Together with your team, you ensure that a truck is maintained in safe conditions. This requires close positive cooperation with colleagues in the beginning.

You will (after your training) be responsible for diagnosing problems (to see what needs to be done to the trucks) before you or your colleague starts working on them.

You are an example of orderliness and care and work together with your colleagues to disassemble and reassemble often heavy mechanical parts.

You will be surrounded by experienced colleagues who will train you to become one of them; your eagerness to learn will facilitate this.


You are willing to work in a 2-shift system (= week 1 you start at 8 AM - 4:30 PM / week 2 you start at 1 PM - 8 PM).
You also work every other Saturday morning from 8 AM to 12 PM.
Profile
You have recent & relevant experience as a mechanic.
You are technically inclined and have experience or a technical diploma.
Technical knowledge of mechanics is a plus but not a necessity.
You have knowledge of electricity.
You are not afraid of dirty and heavy work. This includes lifting a lot and regularly having to move to hard-to-reach places (under the trucks, between the different parts,...).
You are a team player.
You are flexible if a breakdown needs to be handled. You will take care of that (together with your colleagues) and ensure that the customer can leave satisfied again.
You possess a B driver's license. Possessing a C driver's license or being interested in obtaining one is a plus.


Training focused on the automotive industry, or equivalent through experience.
Willingness to work in shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM and 2 Saturday mornings per month.
Willingness to participate in standby duty.
Good knowledge of Dutch.
You work independently and know how to prioritize your tasks.
You are enthusiastic, stress-resistant, customer-oriented, and a team player.
