Mechanic

Job description: We are looking for a Mechanic / Technician passionate about the maintenance and management of technical equipment for a client in the school transportation sector. Reporting directly to the operations manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing preventative maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning of the facilities. Main responsibilities: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment; Carry out routine inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues; Perform repairs and replacements of defective parts; Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities; Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations; Order and manage spare parts inventory; Collaborate with other team members to optimize operational efficiency; Provide technical support and training to other staff; Manage maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks. Qualifications: Diploma in mechanical engineering, automotive mechanics, or related field; Proven experience in a similar role; Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams; Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Good organizational and time management skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Valid driver's license; Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures; Experience in the school transportation sector is an asset.
