Maths Tutor – Year 11 Intervention – Secondary School – Braintree Location: Halstead Start Date: November 2025 Focus: Year 11 GCSE Intervention A supportive secondary school in Halstead is looking for a dedicated Maths Tutor to work with Year 11 students, providing targeted intervention to help them prepare for their GCSE exams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to students’ progress and confidence in Maths. The role will include: Delivering small group and 1:1 Maths interventions to students who require additional support, with a focus on building their understanding and skills in Maths. This will involve: • Delivering Maths lessons to small groups of students, with a focus on building their understanding and skills in Maths. • Providing 1:1 Maths support to students who require additional help, with a focus on building their confidence and skills in Maths. • Working closely with the Maths department to develop and deliver Maths interventions that meet the needs of students. • Keeping accurate records of student progress and attendance, and reporting back to the Maths department. • Collaborating with other tutors and teachers to develop and deliver Maths interventions that meet the needs of students. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to students’ progress and confidence in Maths. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Maths teacher or tutor with experience of working with Year 11 students. You will have a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and be able to deliver Maths interventions that meet the needs of students. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
