Mercor is seeking PhD holders, doctoral candidates, and exceptional Master’s graduates in mathematics, applied Mathematics, or a related STEM field to join a high-impact AI research initiative in partnership with a leading AI lab. Key Domains Real, Complex, & Functional Analysis Complex Analysis / Spectrum Theory / Fourier Analysis Ordinary & Partial Differential Equations Mathematical Physics / Partial Differential Equations / Dynamical Systems Key Responsibilities Review and audit submitted data labels for quality and accuracy. Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in data labels. Provide expert-level mathematical insights to improve the performance of AI models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, researchers, and other subject matter experts. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and mathematics. Contribute to the development of new labeling guidelines and procedures. Participate in the training of other labelers. Requirements PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related STEM field OR Master's degree with exceptional research experience. Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
