Materials Engineering Specialist
Job description
Roles & Responsibilities: • Support development of a fixed-wing UAV with minimized Radar Cross Section (RCS). • Design and execute material characterization plans for composite, metallic, and coating systems. • Evaluate materials, coatings, and structures to reduce electromagnetic observability while meeting structural performance requirements. • Lead material selection, characterization, and testing for composites, polymers, adhesives, and metallic systems. • Develop test protocols, interpret results, and provide recommendations for material improvements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials engineering into overall UAV design.
